If you want, please check out the github: https://github.com/threshersow/painkiller-plus-plus
You never know, you might decide to commit some code. 😉
I’d love more suggestions and I agree that bot AI is a good thing to focus on.

Any mappers who want to make some maps for Race, that would be sweet! 🙂
Really need some help on this, could make things go much faster if I have 1-2 other people working on it.

You have to open the file with administrator privileges.

I can assure you, i didn’t pack anything that windows can’t do on it’s own. What OS do you have?
You can manually make the changes by adding these lines http://pastebin.com/qpGGdtF9 into your “hosts” file manually.
Your ‘host’ file is usually located at “%SystemRoot%system32driversetchosts”

Found out that QTracker is hosting a master server. This is great because we can still list servers. If you’re a server administrator, add the following to your ‘host’ file. If you are a gamer/user, add the following to your ‘host’ file, usually located at “%SystemRoot%system32driversetchosts”

When is it?
Also, please include Stebe’s DM_GE_Library, there is no health on it at this time, but I can change that. 🙂

At least it will be more accessible… modding original PK was confusing and had little/no documentation/support.

Here is a master server list, now sure how long it will stay up for: http://gstadmin.gamespy.net/masterserver/index.aspx?gamename=painkiller&fields&overridemaster&filter
Also, maybe there is some way for us to modify and emulate the master server? I know they did this for many old games (Descent, etc) My fingers are crossed. 😡

GGs everyone!! :)) Thanks for the support from everyone, tastyspleen.tv and eThaD over at sc2tv.ru !! I hope to be able to provide both English and Russian streams in the future if eThaD is willing to do it again. Makes me want to run another one as soon as possible.

Yes, I’m glad that we are able to have these. 🙂 I have a server provider that can setup servers, so get more of your friends on PK Lite! Maybe one of them will rent a server(s) and run their own cup. 😉

For anyone that wants to change trail colors on their own, here are some simple direction:
First, follow this Tutorial to EXTRACT your Textures.pak
Once you extract Textures.pak, navigate to the folder you extracted to, and you should see a “Particles” folder in there.
trailgrenade.tga — rocket, grenade, and shuriken trail
trailkolek.tga — stake trail
trailcombo.tga — when you combo a grenade with a stake, will make this trail
Edit the files in GIMP/Photoshop/image editor of your choice.
Then, create a folder in your pkdirectory/Data/ folder named “Textures” if you don’t already have one there.
Then inside the “Textures” folder, create another folder called “Particles”
You directory should now look like this:
Place your edited *.tga files into this directory and you should be good to go! 🙂
