After quite a long wait the Painkiller: Redemption beta is ready. The game has already been sent to beta test to FonoGame and JoWooD. That will depend on how the mod will be available for players. Beta tests unfortunately (at least for now) are closed. It’s the decision of JoWooD and will depends on whether beta testing will possible at a later date and will be open to all. Whether or not the mod will have chance to come out without any legal problems. To be able to play and test the modification, e-mails should be send to Eggtooth, Ye-Back or Paindemonium.

Mail contact: Play, find bugs and write suggestions under this news post.

* EggTooth –
* Paindemonium –
* Ye-Back –

The reason for this and not the other way of beta testing, is that JoWooD has not issued a decision as to distribute modifications to the network. We hope, however, that after playing the beta version, they will change there mind and there by facilitate the matter. Those who get the opportunity to play in the beta, please do not distribute their own way beta.

This is the beta version of Painkiller Redemption. You can find here some bugs, crashes and other stuff needed to be fixed. Of course this game is in beta stage, but i hope this beta is playable..

List of bugs that you can find in this version:

– No new music (we are recording it)
– Language issues: We translated this game from polish so there can be some bugs in translation
– Not opening doors (if you find please report, then i give fix)
– Crashing (game engine, example: Fatal Error, i don’t know what is causing this)
– Script Errors- Game needs repleacing files because some files are modified so badly by Homegrown games, and they needs to be fixed.

Windows XP Demon Effect included.

This special demon effect works only on windows XP. If someone know how to make it working in Vista/7 e-mail me:

System Requiements:
Processor 1.5GHz, 512MB RAM, GeForce FX5900 128MB or Ati Radeon 9500 .
On full details:
Processor 3.0GHz 1GB RAM (XP), 2GB (Vista), GeForce 6600GT 256MB or ATI RADEON X1800.
Operating system: XP/Vista/7

Windows 7 is strongly recomended, because he is reducing number of crashes to MINIMAL.

Please also understand that this is mod/ unofficial addon, and this is my first serious work.

Man, eggtooth, a lot of things have change around here since I was last in PK. I have some scrip error files on your 2.0 mod, I will send them to you if you are still fooling with it. As far as one of your questions, as far as I have read, anything that runs on Win XP/VISTA, should run fine on Win 7. I have been running a few of my old XP games on Win7 with no problem at all, well except for cheap graphics; it is hard to go back to low end when you been into high end (lol). More later, great site, looking foward to the new launch.

Whatt error? Where?

    11. August 2010 20:16

    I got some script errors on Painkiller Resurrection, I think most of them were due to incompatible ammo files, old ammo vs. new cannon and stuff like that; I was still able to finish the game, I just had to avoid some of the ammo pick ups (which made for an interesting game). I can send you the files, just let me know where.
    Good to have you back, hope the floods have missed you and yours.

DO NOT INSTALL v2.0 on v1.9….

    12. August 2010 00:26

    So sholud I remove 1.9 compleatly and then load your 2.0? Because I really like your scope view,
    I just wish there more places to use it.
    NOW YOU KNOW I am talking about “Resurrection” and not “Redemption”, although I can’t wait for the latter.
